Traveling in Canada and worldwide.
This
plan provides coverage throughout Canada as well as this
insurance provides coverage for up to 30 days while traveling
outside Canada (excluding your country of origin), as long as
your side trip originates and terminates in Canada and does not
exceed 49% of your total number of coverage days.

Who can apply?
a)
Visitors to Canada;
b) Canadians who are not eligible for benefits under a
government health insurance plan;
c) Persons who are in Canada on a work visa; or
d) New immigrants who are awaiting Canadian government health
insurance plan coverage.
What coverage you will get
"Emergency" means a sudden and unforeseen occurrence of a
medical condition that begins during the period of insurance,
which requires immediate treatment.
Eligibility. You are not eligible for coverage under this policy if:
a) the date of your trip occurs during the time that you have
been advised by a physician not to travel;
b) you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with less
than 2 years to live;
c) you have a kidney condition requiring dialysis;
d) you have used home oxygen during the 12 months prior to the
date of application; and/or
e) you have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or any other
form of dementia.
Amount of coverage
●
Single-Trip Plan is the amount purchased:
$25,000, $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000
●
Multi-Trip Plan covers
you for up to $150,000 for an unlimited number of up to 30
day trips to Canada during a year.
Choose from Plan A or Plan B
Plan A does
not provide coverage for
pre-existing medical conditions.
Plan B provides coverage for your pre-existing medical conditions,
which have been STABLE within 180 days before the
effective date of the insurance. The applicants 35 years of age
or over must
complete the medical questionnaire to qualify for Plan B.
Age.
On your effective
date of insurance, you must be in Canada and: a) under age 70
for Multi-Trip plans; or b) under age 86 for Single-Triр plans
(under age 70 for $150,000 Single -Trip Emergency Medical
coverage).
Deductible.
A $75 deductible applies to each claim made under this policy,
unless you chose the option of no deductible, 500, or $1,000
deductible per claim in your application for insurance, and paid
the applicable premium.
Waiting period.
No waiting period
if you apply for coverage before your arrival in Canada.
A waiting period will apply except in the case of
accidental body injury if you purchase this insurance after your
arrival in Canada or after the expiry date of an existing
Visitors to Canada Policy issued by Manulife Financial.
Waiting period means: a) the 48-hour period following your
effective date of insurance if your effective date is within 30
days of arrival in Canada; b) the 8-day period following your
effective date of insurance if your effective date is more than
30 days after arrival in Canada.
Family plan is
available for Plan A, if all
family members are under 55 years of age (see
Rates).
Emergency Medical Benefits

Emergency medical attention (medical care received from
a physician in or out of a hospital, the cost of a
hospital room; the services of a licensed private duty
nurse while you are in hospital; the rental or purchase
of a hospital bed; diagnostic tests; drugs that are
prescribed and available only by prescription from a
physician or dentist. Follow-up visits are covered until
the attending physician or the company's medical
advisors declare the end of the medical emergency.)

Trip Interruption
If you have pre-paid travel arrangements and want to protect
yourself if your trip is interrupted. This insurance is
available for purchase with all plans and provides coverage for
an individual trip.

Reimbursement of prepaid portion of the trip that is
non-refundable and non-transferable to another travel date for a
covered event

Travel Accident
Available for purchase with all plans and provides coverage for
an individual trip.
Travel Accident
insurance covers the following benefits:*

If an accidental bodily injury causes the insured to die,
to become completely and permanently blind in both eyes or to
have two limbs fully severed above the wrist or ankle joints,
within 365 days of the accident, Manulife Financial will pay
$50,000.
●
If an accidental bodily injury causes the insured to
become completely and permanently blind in one eye or have one
limb fully severed above a wrist or ankle joint, within 365 days
of the accident, Manulife Financial will pay $25,000.
●
If the insured has
more than one accidental bodily injury during the trip, Manulife
Financial will pay the applicable insured sum only for the one
accident that entitles the insured to the largest benefit
amount.

3. Choose your
Visitors to Canada plan (single trip, multi-trip, top-up),
country of residence, and then click
the button <Continue> at the bottom of the page.
4. Please,
enter all required information in the quotation form,
click
<Continue>.
5. You may be
asked to answer several medical questions (Plan B for the
applicant's age 35 and over).
6. Click <Continue>
and
get your
free quote. Read how this policy covers pre-existing medical
condition.
How to buy this insurance policy
1.
If
you accept the quote and pre-existing condition exclusion, click
the button <Apply> at the bottom of the page.
2.
Please,

4. You will
