Who can apply?
This insurance is designed for visitors to Canada and foreign
workers. It also protects
immigrants and Canadians returning to Canada after living abroad
who are awaiting provincial health plan coverage.
This insurance policy
meets all requirements for
parent and grandparent super visa if
amount of coverage purchased is $100,000
or greater and period of coverage is 365 days.
What coverage will you
have?
Emergency medical&hospital insurance
:
Amount of medical coverage
is available in increments of $10,000 up to a
maximum of $300,000
Air
Flight Accident (up to $25,000)
24-Hour
Accident Insurance (up to $25,000).
Age. The
applicant has to be over the
age of 14 days old and has
not reached the age of 90
years at the time of
application.
Deductibles. This insurance
has no deductible. However, the Insured can choose to add one of
three deductible options $100, $500, $1,000 and receive a
discount of 5 per cent, 15 per cent or 25 per cent on the
premium respectively. (Minimum Premium per policy is $20.)
Waiting period.
No
waiting period if purchased prior to arrival in
Canada.
If this policy was purchased
within 60 days after your arrival in Canada, then in respect of
any sickness you will only be entitled to receive benefits for
the cost of eligible medical expenses incurred after the first
48 hours from the effective date of this policy.
If this policy was purchased 61
days or more after your arrival in Canada then in respect of any
sickness you will only be entitled to receive benefits for the
cost of eligible medical expenses incurred after seven (7) days
from the effective date of this policy.
Family plan is
available, if all family
members are under 61 years
of age. (see
Rates).
Travel worldwide
:
Travel worldwide is valid as long as majority of
time is spent in Canada. No coverage
provided while in home
country.
Travel to and from Canada
:
Coverage will be
provided up to 7 days each way

Important!
Pre-existing
medical
conditions |
For
persons 69 years and under, pre-existing
conditions are covered if stable in the 120 days
prior to the effective date of this policy.
For persons
70 to 79 years, pre-existing conditions are not
covered; however coverage for pre-existing
conditions can be purchased.
The applicant can purchase an
additional optional coverage to cover
pre-existing conditions provided they were
stable in the 120 days prior to the effective
date of the policy. A 25% surcharge will apply.
For persons
80 to 89 years, pre-existing conditions are not
covered. |

Exclusions
|
The company
does not pay for medical expenses if a trip is
undertaken:
a) against a Physicians advice; or, b) after diagnosis
of a Terminal Condition.
