21st Century Visitors to Canada Medical Insurance (Plan Details)

Period of Coverage

Period of coverage may be one or two years.

With a two-year policy, you will lock in today's rates for two years; beat potential age band increases in year two; pay only one $50 Policy Fee when the policy is issued. Aggregate Policy Limit resets to full amount at start of year two if there have been claims in year one. All other benefit maximums also reset to full amount at start of year two including drugs, private nursing, health care practitioners, etc. 30-day Side Trip limit resets in year two.

You will pay only for the time in Canada: with proof of return to country of origin, payments cease and extra full monthly payments paid are refunded even if there has been a claim!

Application for Insurance

If you are applying for Visa or Super Visa, the first two-month deposit + $50 administration fee is payable at the time of application for this policy.

You will put a tentative effective / arrival date on the policy, which will be adjusted before your actual arrival date.

Your policy will be on a pending status until you get your visa. When your actual arrival date is confirmed, you will activate your policy, adjust the travel dates and pay the monthly installment to activate the policy.

If the entry visa has already been issued and the actual travel dates are known, OR you are already in Canada, you will also pay the monthly installment for the first month of your policy period when purchasing this insurance.

If you are applying for Super Visa, this document should be submitted with your visa application.

Monthly Installments

Application for Visa or Super Visa

If you are applying for Visa or Super visa, there are no other payments until your arrival date is confirmed. Your policy will be on a pending status and you do not need to adjust the travel dates in your policy until you book your tickets to Canada.

When you know the actual arrival date, you need to contact us before this date, and the company will adjust the travel dates in your policy and charge the first monthly installment.

Thereafter, the policy effective (arrival) date will establish the monthly installment due date. For example, if your policy effective date is June 10, next monthly payments will be on the 10th of July, 10th of August, etc.

You will pay only for the time in Canada. With proof of return to country of origin, payments cease, and extra full monthly payments paid are refunded even if there has been a claim. CLAIMS DO NOT IMPACT REFUNDS.

Refunds

If your Super Visa application is denied, your two-month deposit will be refunded, $50 fee is non-refundable. A copy of the denial letter is required.

You can terminate your policy and obtain a refund of any fully unused monthly premium (subject to the two-month minimum premium), if you returned to your country of origin early, or you received proof that you are eligible and covered under a government provincial health care plan.

Premium will not be refunded for any partial months of coverage and a minimum premium of two months will be retained even if this policy is terminated within the first two months. The $25 processing fee applies.

A refund for early cancellation is available even if you have made a claim under the policy.
