Detailed Overview
Access Life by Industrial Alliance is a non-medical life insurance product tailored to meet the needs of Canadians who seek fast, accessible, and inclusive coverage. Unlike traditional life insurance, Access Life eliminates the need for medical exams, making it an ideal solution for individuals who may be denied coverage due to health issues or who simply prefer a more streamlined process
The application process is straightforward: applicants answer a few health-related questions, which determine their eligibility tier—Guaranteed Access, Deferred, Deferred Plus, or Immediate Plus. These tiers define the coverage amount and type (term or permanent). Coverage ranges from $10,000 to $500,000 depending on age and health status.
One of the standout features of Access Life is its inclusivity. It’s available to Canadians aged 6 months to 80 years, including those with critical health conditions, newcomers to Canada, and even children with pre-existing medical issues. This makes it a rare and valuable option for families who have struggled to find coverage elsewhere.
Access Life offers both term and permanent insurance. Term options include 15, 20, or 25 years, with the flexibility to convert to permanent coverage before age 71. Permanent coverage lasts up to age 100 and includes surrender values and reduced paid-up options. The premiums are fixed and guaranteed, providing financial predictability for policyholders.
The product is especially beneficial for several client groups:
Seniors: Older adults who may not qualify for traditional insurance due to age or health.
People with Chronic Illnesses: Those previously denied coverage can now secure protection.
Parents of Children with Health Conditions: Access Life provides coverage for children who are otherwise uninsurable.
New Immigrants: Individuals new to Canada who face underwriting limitations.
Healthy Individuals Seeking Convenience: Those in good health who prefer to skip medical exams and get coverage quickly.
